Lay a Glitter Gold Charger Plate at every seat and a plain black tablecloth starts to look like a party. It is for hosts and planners dressing an engagement dinner, a milestone birthday or a New Year's Eve table who want gold that shimmers under candlelight rather than shouts.
A Soft Shimmer of Gold at Every Place
The finish is a warm, satin gold with a fine circular grain running from the rim into the centre, so candlelight catches it in soft rings all the way down the table. A wide flat rim surrounds a shallow well where the dinner plate sits, and that band of gold frames each setting.
It looks richest against black, navy or deep green linen, and it softens nicely on ivory for an engagement lunch.

Set a Black and Gold New Year's Eve Table
Say it is a New Year's Eve dinner in a Main Beach penthouse. Cover the tables in black satin tablecloths, dress the chairs in black lycra chair covers and set a glitter gold charger at every place. Down the centre, stand a Crystal Deco Gold LED Centrepiece on a round mirror base and scatter LED tea light candles between the settings. Hang the Black Sparkle Shimmer Backdrop behind the head table and set an Inflatable Gold Shiny Mirror Ball in the corner for the countdown.
Finish the Room in Black and Gold
For more around the plate, see our centrepiece accessories, tablecloths and chair covers. For the room itself we hire lighting, and our disco and gala awards themes show a full night put together. Send us your guest count and colours and our team will plan the tables with you.
