Lid up, it becomes the reveal. It comes empty, so you fill it your way: gold coins over draped satin, flameless tea lights tucked in, a pair of goblets on top, and the glow spills over the front edge all night. Lid down, it is a closed chest with its black hasp and ring handles on show, which suits an entry table or a bar corner that needs a solid shape.
